Clean it properly, and get every bit of grit out. This is the step people skip.
Antiseptic, then a dressing — an open graze and tropical humidity are a bad combination.
Change the dressing daily, more often if you've been swimming or sweating.
Keep it out of the sea and the pool until it has closed.
Deep wounds, anything that won't stop bleeding, a head knock, or a wound getting hot and red: clinic, and we'll point you to the nearest one.
